History:
The love child between a young nurse and a wealthy lawyer, Thana grew up in New York City and would occasionally spend summers with her uncle Billy and cousin Jake however it was more with Billy as Jake was older then her. She knew her mother had left Billy and the rest of her family when she fell in love with her father however wasn't sure what the results of the rift had been.

When she was 10 her mother, Emmie Black was tragically in an accident that took her life a few hours later. Thana's father, Matthew in his grieving sent his daughter away to boarding school in Switzerland as he was drinking himself into an early grave in grief.

Once in Switzerland, the pain and confusion on her mother dying and her father sending her away made Thana dream horrible dreams and at times think she was a wolf. Accidently hurting another student, and not knowing how she was expelled and sent into rehab for evaluation. At age 11.

While she doesn't disclose what happened , the facility she was at was not following legal practices and as a result the once happy and bubbly young child has now turned into a timid, scared and shy teenager who doesn't speak very often and has a self harm problem. While people don't know what is going on inside her head they believe it is because of her mothers death, and at age 14 her fathers as well.

With the school refusing acceptance Thana has had no choice but to return to America, to a small town named Forks to live with her uncle and try regain a sort of normal life. She arrived via plane and has just recently moved in with her Uncle, Billy Black.


Family Background:
The Black family are part of the Uley tribe, a tribe of shifters in Forks that defend people against the vampires. Emmie, the youngest of all the siblings fell in love with a strange man that had come to town and left her family to leave with him. 5 years later they had a child together, Emmie continued working as a nurse once she graduated training and Matthew got a higher paying job in a law firm in New York where they lived until the untimely passing of Emmie .

Matthew came from New Orleans to begin with however went to University in Nashville, going on a graduation road trip he found himself in Forks and fell in love with a woman there that he managed to convince to run away with him to travel America before settling in New York and having a child together. At the time of his wife's unfortunate death he began to drink heavily and within three years was also dead himself.
